Vision

FKMCNY YG/EM’s vision is to faithfully promote the Ministry of Reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18). We seek to function as God’s agents in proclaiming what has already been done – Christ died on the Cross and rose again so that we may all be saved. 

The Ministry of Reconciliation requires healing, maturity, and building relationships through the eradication of spiritual and physical poverty in and around us. In order to do this, we are committed to discipleship training, embarking on short-term missions trips, and community service.

1. Worship

Our sole focus is to worship! Our goal is to teach our students to love God with all their hearts, soul, mind and strength. It is in those moments that we are able to worship genuinely. We gather in order to give all the praise, honor, and glory to our Father in Heaven.

2. Sowing Seeds (Out-Reach Ministry)

We look to teach the basic foundational articles of faith, which is found in God’s Word. Taking it a step further, we emphasize that through Jesus Christ, we are part of God’s family! We want our students to have a WORLDWIDE VISION of God’s kingdom.

Bible Study / Activities

Student atria (학생심방)

As a YG/EM minister of this church, I would like to have a closer relationship in Christ through meetings with students every Wednesday and Friday. At least three times or more personal meetings every year, all students will have their own problems, difficulties, college and career counseling with youth/EM Pastor.

Retreats

The Youth Group goes on retreats maybe twice a year: during summer vacation and Christmas break. Our general purpose for to get closer to God and meet Him there. We have quiet time before our day starts, morning worship, evening worship, and prayer meetings at night. During retreats we strive to have fellowship. We get divided into teams and as teams compete in various games and activities. Winners of the activities at retreat eat out as a team. Retreats are a time to reconcile with God, with our friends, and growing in faith through hearing God’s Word and praying.

Praise Night / Youth Rally

Youth Rally is 3 times annual event, hosted by the local churches youth groups.(Westchester Churches 연합) It is a time where we praise God for all that He’s done for us. There are multiple outlets in which one can participate in this event. If you wish, you can set-up your own segment during this praise night. However, there is always a praise section, body worship, and a presentation by the drama team. For weeks, we practice diligently for this event in order to present something worthy to God. Praise Night is a blessing event, with which you can always learn from the skits, testimonies, and sermons.

Short-term D.R. Missions

Every year FKMCNY sends a team on a short-term mission trip. In previous years, our church has sent teams to South Korea, Kazakhstan, and so on. For several months the team practices new songs, pantomimes, and body worships to present to the people there. Also learning about the culture and language of the country they are going to is required. Before the mission trip the team goes on a short retreat to pray and to get united. Missions is also a good opportunity to visit people that live in conditions that you have never imagined of. For these several months you get to learn new things, experience a lot and make new friends. And best of all- you can grow spiritually a step closer to God.
